SmoothRed Sets Sail
‘A unique, fun experience with a nautical theme’. This was the criteria given to SmoothRed to design a team reward day-away for a group of 16. Unlike most corporate events this was oceans apart from anything else the client had done before but had something to suit all members, for a team reward. Whether they wanted to sit back, soak up the sun and enjoy a glass or two of wine or take the helm, steering the yacht and hoisting the main sail, the choice was theirs.
Leaving the city-spin of London behind, their private luxury coach chauffeured the group to Gunwharf Quays where two private yachts were moored and breakfast onboard awaited them. With a SmoothRed Event Host onboard each yacht, they set sail across the Solent towards the Isle of Wight. A good tail wind behind, the sails were up and the race began with each team member taking the helm while the rest relaxed and enjoyed the ride.
The perfect opportunity to get to know each other better and work as a team; hoisting the sails and navigating their way to Cowes, where a three course lunch with wine awaited them at a renowned seafood restaurant ashore.
All aboard after a fabulous lunch the team set off for the return sprint across the waters where the evening’s entertainment awaited. Champagne and canapés on the terrace of a stunning, historical, maritime building followed by a top class wine tasting experiencewith a leading Wine Educator. Then what better way to round off the day than with a gastronomic feast in the banqueting hall. The perfect SmoothRed corporate event!
