With the Foreign and Commonwealth Office now advising against all but essential travel, we understand that our clients may be worried about any planned or upcoming trips. We are monitoring the coronavirus situation very closely and receive travel advice and travel health updates regarding the current outbreak of COVID-19.
The whole world seems to be grinding to a halt. Our daily lives have been uprooted, that which we thought we knew has become unclear, and many of us are dealing with untold hardships behind the scenes.
Here at SmoothRed, although we are adapting to working from home under complicated circumstances, our team is closer than ever. We check in with one another daily, we provide individualised support, and, of course, we’ve revived Wine Friday… over Zoom.
And we are extending that same support to our friends abroad, our local partners, and you — our loyal clients.
We are contacting all of our clients with trips departing imminently to offer guidance and support by helping you to secure alternative travel arrangements, including postponing or amending holiday plans. If the team have not yet been in touch with you, we thank you for your patience as we deal with trips on a case-by-case basis, reaching out to those of you travelling imminently first.
SmoothRed is founded on principles of authenticity, genuine connections, and excellent relationships with our local partners in Europe. It has been particularly difficult to hear of the delicate situations in which our overseas friends, families, and local partners have found themselves and we are working to help them to deal with these uncertain times.
Our lovely team are on hand, working furiously in their makeshift offices from home, ready to assist you — whether that be helping you postpone a getaway, planning something together to look forward to, or just offering an ear to chat things through. We really are all in this together.
It is a very challenging time for the entire travel industry, but I can assure you that we will be doing our utmost to care for every client according to their individual requirements. This difficult situation, while wholly unprecedented, reminds us how bound together we are by our passion for our planet. Over the next few weeks, we will be sharing with you some of the ways in which we are keeping our spirits high while we #stayhome.
