About Adam
What is your most memorable travel experience?
I have cultivated a lifelong passion for both travel and wine. My experiences have ranged from savouring leisurely lunches on the terraces of the Douro Valley and enjoying tastings on the volcanic slopes of Mount Etna, to participating in the renowned Médoc Marathon while sampling wines along the route.
It has been particularly rewarding to explore lesser-known wine territories across Eastern Europe over the years, including Romania and Hungary (I am a big fan of Tokaji) – countries that are so rich in history and culture.
Which destination is next on your list?
Having been privileged to travel extensively through most of the world’s premier wine regions, and to regularly visit established destinations such as Bordeaux, Burgundy, Mendoza and Tuscany, I recently fulfilled a long-held ambition to experience South Africa’s Winelands and the spectacular wilderness of Kruger National Park. I completely fell in love with Franschhoek.
For me, it’s often the journey that makes these trips so special, and discovering Salta and the remote Bodega Colomé in the Calchaquí Valleys is the perfect example. Next, I’m keen to explore Oregon’s famous Willamette Valley.
