What is your most memorable travel experience?
A couple of years ago I got to travel to Naples, and I experienced la dolce vita with a twist! My friend’s nonna invited us to a cooking class at her house, where we learnt how to make the finest lasagna. Think of fresh mozzarella, good cuts of meat, béchamel sauce, and tomatoes fresh from the slopes of Mount Vesuvius – an experience I will always cherish!
Which destination is next on your list?
While I have been fortunate to travel to many European countries, I think my top two destinations are South Africa and California! I’m looking forward to trying more sweet wines in South Africa and, of course, visiting my favourite estate, the Orin Swift Cellars, in California!
What is your favourite food and wine pairing?
It has to be the sweet Vin de Constance from the Klein de Constantia Estate paired with a pavlova filled to the brim with summer fruits!
