What is your most memorable travel experience?

I love the outdoors and adventure, so some of my favourite memories include catching a sunrise in the Sahara, climbing a volcano in the Canary Islands, diving in the Caribbean, and sleeping in the jungle. However, living in a big city often means limited access to nature. One of my most cherished recent moments was enjoying a traditional lunch in the hills of the Douro Valley. The winter sun warmed us, birds chirped in the peaceful background, and we shared Porto and red wines. Can you picture it?

Which destination is next on your list?

I’m not sure if it’s my Italian roots that draw me to that country, or perhaps it’s the stunning landscapes, delicious food, and the sense of comfort I feel every time I visit. Either way, on my next trip, I’m excited to explore Sicily. I can’t wait to taste the wine from Mount Etna and discover the unique characteristics imparted by the volcanic soil!

What is your favourite food and wine pairing?

I’m not the best at pairing food and wine, but I once read, “nel cibo c’é la vita, nel vino la gioia,” which translates to “food brings life, wine brings joy.” I believe that’s the essence of it!
