What is your most memorable travel experience?
I’ve had the pleasure of visiting some beautiful wine regions across Europe and even as far as Mexico, but my favourite region will always be Jerez. This undervalued wine was my first love and continues to be the wine I enjoy the most. From exploring famed vineyards to sampling 50-year-old sherries directly from the barrel or simply enjoying a refreshing glass of Manzanilla on the beach in Sanlúcar de Barrameda, I have so many fond memories.
Which destination is next on your list?
Ribera del Duero! I can’t wait to visit this iconic region. Famous for producing Spain’s most expensive red wine, this region is firmly on the map for fine wine. However, I’m more excited to discover the smaller, family-run wineries and, of course, the local food.
What is your favourite food and wine pairing?
Too many to choose from, but Vin Jaune and an aged Comté is pretty spectacular!
