About Luisa

What is your most memorable travel experience?

I spent a month travelling around New Zealand, and it quickly became one of my favourite countries thanks to its breathtaking landscapes and incredible natural beauty. My best friend and I completed the Tongariro Crossing and summited the volcano in some fairly questionable weather. Thankfully, on the descent the clouds lifted and we were rewarded with glorious sunshine. We celebrated afterwards with plenty of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc! More recently, I visited Seville and fell in love with the city. One of the highlights was watching improvised flamenco at a tapas and flamenco bar – it was mesmerising.

Which destination is next on your list?

Since travelling through parts of South America in 2018, I’ve longed to return and explore more of the continent. Machu Picchu is high on my bucket list, alongside the Bolivian salt flats, Patagonia, and Iguazu Falls. I would also love to visit Bordeaux in France, Tuscany in Italy, and San Sebastián in Spain, for their world‑class wines and exceptional gastronomic experiences.

What is your favourite food and wine pairing?

I’m a big fan of seafood, which pairs beautifully with crisp white wines such as Sauvignon Blanc and Picpoul de Pinet. I’ve also heard that sushi and Champagne make an excellent pairing, and I’m keen to try this, as I think it could become my new favourite!
