Her lifelong passion for travel led her to earn a degree in tourism, after which she moved to London to launch her career in 2016. Indulging her passion for the gourmet, Marjorie pursued professional training as a pastry chef, further cementing her love for culinary arts. In 2022, she brought her talents to SmoothRed, combining her expertise in tourism and gastronomy. Like any Frenchwoman, Marjorie has an innate love for food and wine, and is always eager to explore and share new flavours with others (for which the team and clients alike are always very grateful!).

What is your most memorable travel experience?
I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to travel to many different countries, but one trip that stood out to me was my visit to the Basque Country. It felt unique compared to other parts of Spain, and I was touched by the warm hospitality of the locals. The gastronomic experience was amazing, with plenty of options for food lovers to indulge in. San Sebastián was a particular highlight as the people were extremely friendly and so proud to share their culture with us.
Which destination is next on your list?
I can’t wait to explore South Africa! It seems perfect for everyone, whether you’re into wine, food, beaches, or safaris. The country offers world-class wine, diverse cuisine, stunning beaches, and iconic wildlife.
What is your favourite food and wine pairing?
When visiting my grandmother on Sundays, we had the habit of eating her homemade pear and almond tart paired with a glass of Coteaux du Layon — perfect! Alternatively, Champagne is my go-to as it is so versatile and food-friendly.
