About Matías
What is your most memorable travel experience?
I come from Patagonia, so hiking has always been a passion of mine. However, it was never quite fulfilled until I visited the dramatic Norwegian fjords. One of my most memorable experiences was spending a week traversing the incredible Hardangerfjord and reaching the top of the famous Trolltunga, the troll’s tongue. The sense of freedom I experienced during those days is priceless. Nature here makes you more mindful; it electrifies you more than coffee ever could because all your senses are awakened. This is where you connect with your roots on Earth — it’s an experience I always recommend.
Which destination is next on your list?
I am learning that New Zealand wine is very popular in the UK, sparking my desire to visit the country. I imagine there’s nothing quite like savouring a glass of Sauvignon Blanc while admiring the stunning mountains of the beautiful South Pacific.
What is your favourite food and wine pairing?
Simple! A good cheese or seafood pasta with an Italian Chardonnay to complement the creamy, nutty flavours of the dish!
