Day 1
Fly into Bologna airport where you will be welcomed by your private wine guide and driver. Check in to your 4* accommodation on the heart of Modena – a former aristocratic residence. Your group will promptly be chauffeured to a traditional vinegar factory dating back to 1910, meet the owner and taste a wonderful variety of vinegars including barrel aged 12 year and 25 year aged varieties. Enjoy a light lunch, tasting local delicacies including parmigiano, prosciutto, salami and gelato and get a real insight into the history and production of balsamic vinegar and how well they pair with these foods. Once you’ve re-fueled, you’re off to visit the famous Enzo Ferrari museum in Modena. You will be welcomed with a glass of Champagne on arrival before an exclusive tour of the museum and a chance to use the F1 simulator. Here you can get close and personal with the many cars exhibited here, and learn about Enzo Ferrari’s incredible life story, spanning 90 years. This evening you’ll enjoy an unforgettable dining experience at a 3* Michelin Osteria Francescana with a 12 course tasting menu paired with wines (Number 3 in world top 50 restaurants!).
