Domaine Les Crayères

Set within seven hectares of beautifully manicured grounds on the edge of Reims, Domaine Les Crayères is an elegant, chateau-style property built in 1904 by the order of Madame Pommery for her daughter, the Marquise de Polignac.

This Relais & Chateaux hotel is decadent and romantic, with palatial décor worthy of French royalty, and holds three Michelin Keys – the highest Michelin guide distinction.

19th Century Classical French style radiates from each of the 20 ornate rooms and suites, each named after European empresses, queens and princesses, and spread across the château and cottage. Featuring heavy drapes, richly patterned fabrics and antique furnishings, the rooms exude the French art-de-vivre, with large windows overlooking the gardens.

Headed by celebrity chef, Christophe Moret, the two-Michelin-starred Le Parc restaurant serves refined French cuisine with an emphasis on locally sourced ingredients with a creative twist. There’s also a more casual brasserie, Le Jardin, and a bar, La Rotonde, which has over 1000 champagne labels.

Outside, there’s a fabulous terrace to relax on and grounds to wander round, while many of the major champagne houses are a just a few minutes’ stroll away, including Pommery, Veuve Clicquot and Taittinger.
