L’Assiette Champenoise

Hidden within a traditional timbered exterior, L’Assiette Champenoise is a thoroughly modern hotel in the Tinqueux suburb of Reims.

This Relais & Chateaux property is an intimate, family-run venture that’s perhaps best known as a temple of high gastronomy.

The 33 rooms and suites are charming and comfortable with muted, earthy tones. There’s a range of room grades, including grand suites with a reproduction of an iconic Impressionist painting behind the bed, and various facilities such a Zen lounge, a Jacuzzi bathtub, and a private terrace.

While the hotel makes a luxurious stop on a trip through Champagne, most guests have come to dine at the famous three-Michelin-starred restaurant. Chef Arnaud Lallement uses local, organic and seasonal cuisine, with a culinary nod to his Breton roots. As you might expect, the wine and champagne list is equally impressive.
