Domaine de la Tortinière

Set in the heart of the Loire Valley and surrounded by 15 hectares of serene parkland, Domaine de la Tortinière is an imposing 19th century chateau with lofty turrets and sweeping staircases.

Located a short drive from some of the Loire Valley’s most celebrated chateaux, this family-run property has an intimate boutique feel, with a renowned restaurant and a heated outdoor pool.

The 32 rooms and suites are divided between the main chateau and its various outbuildings. With high ceilings, original fireplaces and exposed beams, rooms in the chateau have an elegant and unique charm, but all rooms boast a beautiful blend of antique furnishings with rich, modern fabrics. Set in the turrets, the chateau suites offer a real castle experience and magnificent valley views.

Located in the light-filled former orangery and spilling out to the terrace, the hotel restaurant offers modern, gourmet cuisine, based on local, seasonal ingredients. A bistro menu and vegan menu are also available, while the lounge bar is perfect for relaxing with an evening drink next to a roaring fire in winter.

Refresh after a day’s exploring in the heated outdoor pool, or work up an appetite on the hotel tennis courts. Guests can prebook a massage or sauna, while a billiard room and table tennis table offer some light entertainment.
