Parisian Classics

Check out Canal Saint-Martin with its arched footbridges, boho bistros and soupçon of urban grit.
Discover the swanky, classy Latin Quarter. One of the oldest districts in the city, it boasts magnificent and varied architecture. It’s also home to the famous Shakespeare and Company bookshop.
In the historic neighbourhood of Le Marais you’ll find a romantic square, Place des Vosges, and atmospheric streets to wander, as well as the unmissable Pompidou Centre.
In the 20th arrondissement, Père Lachaise is a peaceful cemetery with Gothic graves and ancient mausoleums, the burial places of famous people, among which are Chopin, Balzac, Edith Piaf and Oscar Wilde.
Go shopping spree in the lively district of Quartier Pigalle. Once Paris’s red light district, it is now one of the trendiest neighbourhoods, full of vintage treasures and stylish boutiques.
Nearby Palaces
Versailles is located only 16 kilometres (12 miles) from Paris. The opulent palace makes a perfect day trip from the City of Lights. By visiting Versailles Palace you’ll discover where Marie Antoinette spent some of the most tumultuous years of her life. The gardens are not to be missed!
For over 8 centuries, Château de Fontainebleau was one of the favourite residences of the French kings and emperors, who decorated it to their own taste preserving the heritage of past residents. Napoleon referred to this fusion as “the true home of Kings”.
At Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte you will admire the classic French gardens. The splendour of this palace and its gardens inspired Louis XIV to build Versailles at 17th century.
