Hôtel Monge

Perfectly placed between the Jardin des Plantes and the Notre-Dame Cathedral, Hotel Monge is a romantic boutique property on Paris’s Left Bank.

Housed in a former 19th century bourgeois mansion, designers Marie-Agnès Louboutin and Patrice Henry have drawn influences from the bohemian surroundings of Saint-Germain-des-Prés in their stylish interiors.

Spread over four categories, the 30 rooms are cosy and welcoming, with themed wallpaper featuring nature motifs, plush textiles, and old history books and globes adding character. Bathrooms are sparkly and bright with L’Occitane mini toiletries provided.

A generous breakfast is served every morning, while the salon provides hot drinks and madeleines to guests throughout the day. In the evening, help yourself to a glass of wine, champagne, aperitif, digestive or a non-alcoholic drink and pop some money in the honesty box.

Despite its small size, the hotel has a hammam and a couple of treatment rooms, should you like a little pampering to round off your day.
