Borgo Pignano

Tuscany

Perched on a hilltop in the heart of Tuscany, Borgo Pignano is a great spot to unplug from the world.

Wrapped in 750 acres of organic farmlands, landscaped gardens, rolling countryside and wildflowers, this boutique property is centred on an opulent yet informal 18th century villa and a hamlet first settled by the Etruscans. Elegantly restored with an exquisite pool set in an old quarry, a pampering spa and fine Italian cuisine made from home-grown and locally sourced ingredients, it’s the ultimate Tuscan idyll.

The main villa houses 14 rooms and suites, all with exquisite views of the Tuscan countryside. Historic details are combined with antique furniture and original artworks, offering rustic charm alongside luxurious amenities. Maisonettes, private villas and La Canonica (a 13th century former priest’s house) are dotted around the grounds, offering greater privacy and space for larger groups.

Gastronomy takes centre stage with the restaurants run on a farm-to-table ethos serving organic ingredients sourced from their own kitchen gardens, fields and livestock. With one Michelin Green Star, Villa Pignano offers a fine dining experience with innovative Tuscan cuisine, while Al Fresco serves an informal menu during the summer months.

Guests can do as much or as little as they choose with a restorative spa housed in the former winery, and a host of activities from horse riding, walking and biking to artisanal workshops, and cookery and painting classes.
