Borgo Santo Pietro

Tuscany

Nestled within 13 acres of beautifully manicured gardens in the heart of the Tuscan countryside in Italy, Borgo Santo Pietro is a five-star luxury resort set in a restored 13th-century property.

Once a healing place for medieval pilgrims, this relais now forms part of a 300-acre estate comprising restaurants, a holistic spa, and an organic farm that supplies much of the produce for the restaurants and the estate’s own organic skincare range.

Each of the 20 rooms and suites is individually styled and inspired by the villa’s rich history. Expect handpicked antiques, bespoke beds, elegant fireplaces, and lavish soft furnishings in spacious and romantic rooms that feel more like an aristocratic country house than a resort hotel. Pick of the bunch are the elegant suites that come with a private garden or the fabulous private pool suites.

Both restaurants embrace the farm-to-table ethos, with much of the ingredients deriving from the estate. Borgo Santo Pietro Saporium is the gourmet restaurant, offering a creative menu based on the estate’s seasonal bounty. Alternatively dine at the more casual Trattoria sull’Albero, which offers traditional Tuscan dishes in a rustic restaurant built around an ancient oak tree.

Cool off in the stunning infinity pool, book an indulgent spa treatment using the hotel’s own Seed to Skin products, or get active with a game of tennis or hike around the estate. For a more relaxing activity, enrol in an art or cookery class.
