Grand Hotel Continental Siena

Tuscany

Located at the heart of Siena’s historical centre, the Grand Hotel Continental is a luxurious five-star hotel set in an exquisite 17th-century palazzo.

This opulent Italian hotel has the flair and elegance of times past with a frescoed former ballroom, sweeping staircase, and an assortment of priceless artworks and precious antiques. There’s an extensive wine cellar beneath the medieval tower, while the iconic Piazza del Campo and Duomo di Siena are a few steps away.

The 51 rooms and suites are every bit as opulent as the public spaces, and packed with art and history. Evoking a centuries-old, aristocratic ambiance, they feature timber-beamed or frescoed ceilings, luxurious soft furnishings, elegant antiques and marble bathrooms. The suites offer abundant space, panoramic views, and some have roof terraces that look over the rooftops of Siena.

Located in an elegant dining room, the Sapordivino restaurant dishes up gourmet Sienese and Tuscan cuisine with a contemporary twist, accompanied by a superb wine list. Enjoy an aperitif or after-dinner drink in the Lounge Bar set in the courtyard, or head to the wine cellar to sample some of the finest wines from the region.

There isn’t a spa or pool here owing to space constrictions in Siena’s old town, but its excellent location means the delights of Siena are at your fingertips.
