La Casona at Matetic Vineyards

Situated at the heart of the Matetic Vineyards, La Casona is a colonial wine retreat set in a century-old estancia.

Located in the idyllic Rosario Valley midway between Santiago and Valparaíso, this boutique hotel offers delicious food, wine tours, a swimming pool, and is surrounded by walking and horse-riding trails. It’s the perfect place to relax and sample some of Chile’s organic and biodynamic wines.

Nestled amid wild gardens, this single-storey hotel has just ten rooms, each named after a grape variety grown on the vineyards. Decorated in a simple yet elegant style, they feature polished wooden floors, traditional furniture, thick curtains, and large tiled bathrooms, creating a cosy, homely feel. Outside, each room has pair of chairs on the terrace, with views across the vineyards.  

Restaurant Equilibrio specialises in gourmet Chilean cuisine with locally sourced, organic ingredients, much of which derives from the onsite organic gardens. It’s complemented with an array of wines from the vineyard.  

Guests are invited to tour the vineyards, learn about the organic and biodynamic processes used, and sample some of the estate wines. An outdoor pool offers refreshment, while walking, horse riding and mountain biking can all be arranged.
