The Artist Grand Hotel of Art

Occupying a prime location opposite Bilbao’s Guggenheim Museum, The Artist Grand Hotel of Art takes its design cue from its visionary neighbour.

This ultra-modern, five-star hotel is an icon of contemporary luxury in the heart of the city’s emblematic arts district. Its dazzling interiors and modernist architecture show a love of art, design and culture, while its rooftop terrace, gastronomic options and inviting spa ensure first-class facilities.

Contemporary in design and effortlessly stylish, the 145 guestrooms and suites feature plush beds, cutting-edge technology, marble bathrooms and a variety of local art. It’s worth upgrading to a Guggenheim view room for floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the museum’s futuristic curves; the suites offer extra space and private terraces with the best views in town.

The fine dining restaurant, Beltz, offers seasonal Basque cuisine with a contemporary twist, while Le Café serves more casual fare next to large windows overlooking Jeff Koon’s Puppy sculpture at the museum entrance. Breakfast is served on the rooftop terrace, which also offers light bites and cocktails throughout the day.

The new wellness spa offers a refreshing antidote to days wandering around the museum, while the fitness centre has the latest gym equipment and yet more Guggenheim views.
