Created from three smaller hotels that have been completely renovated and joined together, Pavillon Faubourg Saint-Germain & Spa opened its doors to great fanfare in April 2022. Situated in Saint-Germain on Paris’s Left Bank, this delightful boutique hotel is influenced by the area’s rich culture, the impressive history of the building fused with a contemporary elegance in its interior design.
The 47 individually appointed rooms and suites are chic and contemporary, with soothing colour schemes and heaps of Parisian charm. Among the room categories are family rooms, duplexes and suites, including the impressive James Joyce suite set beneath the eaves with a lounge and rooftop views, where the celebrated Irish writer completed his novel, Ulysses.
Named after a hotel restaurant in Joyce’s The Dubliners, Les Parisiens is headed up by chef, Thibault Sombardier, a figurehead of Parisian haute-bistronomy, who devises his menu around local, seasonal ingredients. Next door, the James Joyce bar is a great spot to grab a glass of fine wine while people-watching from the street-side terrace.
Featuring a pool with water jets, a fitness room, a hamman, a yoga and meditation room and two massage rooms, the spa offers a welcome reprieve from the hustle and bustle of Parisian life.
