Terra Dominicata

Nestled at the foot of the Montsant mountain range around an hour’s drive west of Tarragona, Terra Dominicata is an upscale hotel and winery in the heart of the Priorat wine region. Set within the estate of a 12^th century monastery, the new owners re-established the monks’ vineyards and opened a luxury boutique hotel in the former monastery buildings. Surrounded by nature and endless rows of vines, this adults-only retreat offers a truly magical stay.

Divided amongst two historic buildings, the 26 guest rooms and suites are individually designed to provide maximum comfort. Original features such as beamed ceilings, hardwood floors and stone walls display rustic character, complemented with a soft, elegant, contemporary style with neutral hues enlivened by splashes of bold colour. All rooms come with Nespresso coffee machines and a tablet to access online digital content.

Creativity and innovation abound in the Mater Terrae restaurant, which showcases the gastronomy of the Priorat region. The cuisine, which is based on high-quality, locally sourced, seasonal ingredients, is complemented by exceptional wines from the estate.
