Frequently asked questions about our 21-day Ultimate Italian Wine Tour

Where all will I visit on this 21-day Italy itinerary?

Our 21-day Italian itinerary will take you across the north and then onwards down to the south of Italy. Ultimately, the trip is broken down like this:

  • 3 nights in Venice, including wine tours of the Prosecco region
  • 2 nights on Lake Garda, with time to relax and explore the town of Gargnano
  • 3 nights in Milan, with free time to explore the city at leisure and tickets to the opera at La Scala
  • 2 nights in Florence, including a stop en route to the Lamborghini factory
  • 2 nights in the Tuscan countryside, with private wine tours
  • 2 nights in Rome, exploring the city’s sites at your own pace
  • 2 nights on the island of Capri, relaxing, exploring and enjoying island life
  • 4 nights in Sorrento to explore all along the Amalfi Coast and enjoy another day of wine tours

Is 3 weeks too long in Italy?

Whether or not 3 weeks is too long to spend in Italy is entirely subjective! If you’re coming from further away, it can be better value if you have the time to enjoy a longer trip and travelling slowly to savour every moment and maximise your time in the country.

We tend to recommend spending at least two nights in each location on a tour, especially if transfers in between are long, so that you have time to unwind and then feel fresh to continue exploring!

How far is Venice to Amalfi?

Venice to Amalfi is a distance of around 480 miles (778 kilometers), which is close to the entire length of Florida!

If you drove straight it would take around 8 and half hours, which is why we recommend breaking up your trip and taking time to explore different areas in between.

How many days of wine tasting will I do?

This sample itinerary includes four days of wine tastings and tours, including in the Prosecco region, Tuscany and around the Amalfi Coast.

Of course, because each trip we create is entirely bespoke, we can increase or decrease this to entirely suit your personal preferences!
