Day 1: Welcome to Champagne
Travel to the Champagne region, with private transfers on arrival.
After settling into your luxury boutique château-style hotel, enjoy a bottle of champagne on the terrace with panoramic views of the surrounding vineyards, or in the wood-clad Norwegian hot tubs that command fine views over the vineyards!
Day 2: Private Full-Day Champagne Tour
Today is a full day’s private champagne tour. Your dedicated driver and wine guide will collect you from your hotel and you’ll set off to explore the Côtes des Blancs and Grand Cru Village vineyards. You will visit three wine estates today where you’ll meet the makers and be invited to explore their cellars, taste their wines and share their passion whilst you learn about the production process.
You’ll sample up to ten champagnes throughout the day with a stop for a leisurely local Champenoise picnic lunch. This day tour includes a visit to the village of Hautvillers with the Abbey Saint-Pierre, where the famous Champagne wine was born.
You will have a chance to see the tomb of Dom Pérignon – the monk to whom we owe a thank you for all these bubbles! In the late afternoon, your guide will take you back to your accommodation.
Day 3: Your Final Day in Champagne
The last day is yours to explore the area, perhaps a visit to the gothic splendor of Notre Dame Cathedral, a final wander among the winding streets of Reims or simply relax at the château with a dip in the wine-barrel hot tubs on a terrace overlooking the vineyards!
Or why not extend this trip with a stay or lunch in Paris or perhaps a few nights in Burgundy? Speak to our Travel Designers for details.
