Day 1: Your First Premium Wine Tasting in Santiago
On arrival in Santiago, your knowledgeable guide and driver will greet you at the airport for a relaxing transfer to your hotel in the cultural and historical hub of Santiago.
In the afternoon, enjoy a ‘picada’ and a premium tasting of new and emerging wine labels from Chile in a relaxed and informal setting with friendly people, in the trendy and central neighbourhood of Lastarria. This wine collection includes exclusive, hard-to-find wines from small and boutique vineyards from all
over Chile!
Day 2: Explore the Sights of Santiago with a Private Guide
This morning, your private guide will meet you for a tour of the city. Kick off the day with a visit to the historic city centre and Plaza de Armas, where the construction of Santiago began during the colonial era. The tour also leads you through the civic district, with the iconic Palacio de la Moneda, and to old and stately neighbourhoods to admire the exquisite architectonic variety brought by immigrants.
No visit to Santiago is complete without a panoramic view from one of the city hills. Take the cable car uphill and feel you’re on top of the Andes before heading to the western area. Here you will see the architectonic contrast of the thriving modern city with impressively tall buildings of daring styles.
This evening, we have arranged a superb three-course wine pairing dinner, featuring an all-Chilean wine list, distinctive dishes and a friendly vibe!
Day 3: Arrive at your Wine Hotel in the Chilean Countryside
Today your private chauffeur will meet you at the hotel and drive you through the Chilean countryside. An awe-inspiring natural setting awaits at your next hotel.
Ideally perched on a hilltop in the middle of this most picturesque valley, with the Andes Mountains in the distance, the property boasts 360-degree views out across the surrounding vineyards and nature.
This evening indulge in world-class wines and a superb dining experience marked by vibrant flavours of Chilean cuisine.
The day has not come to an end yet. Before resting your head in such a relaxing environment, embark on a guided stargazing experience, as there is virtually no light pollution in your countryside retreat.
Day 4: Enjoy a Tasting Tour at the Property's Winery at Leisure
Today wake up to the breath-taking views over the Andes. Enjoy a day at leisure on this countryside paradise.
Whether you are seeking a wellness experience outdoors or you feel active and head out to explore the many hiking trails, the hotel offers plenty of options to connect with nature. Among the vineyards are trails for running, horseback riding or mountain biking. Discover the many treasures nestled within the
valley.
We highly recommend a tour and tasting at the property’s famous winery, followed by some incredible tastings.
Day 5: Colchagua Valley Guided Winery Tours and Tastings
Today is all about wine and your private guide will take you to Chile’s winelands in Colchagua Valley. One of the best-known wine regions in the country, it also enjoys high international prestige.
Visit a prestigious winery renowned for its commitment to excellence and innovative winemaking. Immerse yourself in the rich history and winemaking traditions of the estate with a guided tour of the vineyards and state-of-the-art facilities.
Indulge in a delectable culinary experience before heading to another property in the afternoon. Learn about the meticulous process behind crafting award-winning wines, from vine to bottle, as you stroll through the lush vineyards and explore the modern cellar.
Day 6: Go Stargazing After Arriving in San Pedro de Atacama
Relax in the morning ahead of your afternoon flight to Calama airport in the north of Chile.
On arrival, your chauffeur will take you to a boutique hotel located in the ancient trading town of San Pedro de Atacama. Inspired by Pre-Inca ruins, local historians assisted in recreating adobe structures so guests feel transported into another world. The round shape and natural building materials (adobe, stone and wood) keep the suites cool in the heat of the day, and warm in the chilly evenings.
If stargazing was an option in the Chilean countryside, then it is a must in San Pedro de Atacama! Be amazed by the beauty of space while having the opportunity to learn about subjects such as constellations, the celestial sphere, archeoastronomy, cosmology, stellar evolution and space exploration. Under some of the most favourable conditions on earth, you will spot all these with your bare eyes.
Day 7: Discover the Traditional Communities in the Andes
Toda why not discover the traditional communities – Ayllus in Quechuan – in the Andes, who were at the heart of the Inca Empire’s economic prosperity.
Depending on each Ayllu, labour was divided by region. Today, San Pedro de Atacama is made up of 15 Ayllus, located in the areas surrounding the town. Visit the cultivated pastures and observe the thousand-year-old route of irrigation canals which are representative of the agrarian way of life, which has remained relatively intact for millennia.
In the afternoon, relax at Cejar Lagoon. The Salar de Atacama is the third largest salt flat on the planet. Its lagoons are of high salinity and are home to unique birdlife, in addition to salt-tolerant plants. At Cejar Lagoon enjoy an experience similar to that of the Dead Sea and bathe on the salted waters.
Day 8: Witness the Stunning Scenery around the Salt Flats
More natural wonders await today. Your private guide will take you almost to the border with Argentina, where you the salt flats of Aguas Calientes and Tuyajto wrapped in absolute silence.
Enjoy the tranquillity of Salar de Aguas Calientes, take in the splendid view of the surrounding volcanoes and reddish waters, and take your best picture of Laguna de Tuyajto. This is a mirror of salt water, which looks like snow in the dry season, offering amazing reflections on the sunrise and sunset.
Day 9: Explore the village of San Pedro de Atacama
Today spend a relaxing morning wandering around the village of San Pedro de Atacama before meeting your chauffeur for a transfer back to Calama Airport.
On arrival in Santiago, meet your chauffeur and relax in your hotel for the last night of your trip. Our team can arrange an exclusive farewell dinner tonight.
