Trip details

Day 1

Fly into Girona Airport and meet your English-speaking driver who will escort you through the acres of vineyards to your luxury boutique hotel, formerly a 12th-century convent! Take a moment to drink in the coastal view of beach town Roses as well as sup your first glass of local Samsó before getting involved in the critically acclaimed viniculture. Enjoy a visit and tasting at a famous wine estate, then treat yourself to an eleven-course tasting dinner at one of the many Michelin-star restaurants Costa Brava has to offer.

Day 2

After a sumptuous breakfast of locally grown fruits and traditional surtido de embutido, stroll along the streets that inspired Salvador Dali and Pablo Picasso, and marvel at neighbouring medieval town Girona. Discerning eyes will notice not just protected architectural sites but iconic landmarks of hit fantasy shows which draw their inspiration from the 13th-century villages. For lunch, why not visit Spain’s number one restaurant or get really stuck in with local chefs who will guide you through the preparation of a five-course gastronomic meal. In the afternoon, visit a couple of the smaller, more intimate vineyards and enjoy a guided tasting of Costa Brava’s esteemed varieties.

Day 3

Natural parks, islands, and hidden beach coves are aplenty here, so get your explorer’s cap on and see what takes your fancy while soaking up the sun. Finish off your holiday the true Mediterranean way: cool down by the pool with a glass of Grenache, one of the most popular grapes in the region, or pop into the hotel spa or nearby golf resort to unwind before your flight home.
