Embark on the Eurostar to Paris where your private driver will whisk you off to board your next train to Bayeux. After a short transfer, you will arrive at your guesthouse in the heart of the town, a stone’s throw away from the famous Bayeux Tapestry.
Start your historical tour by joining a small group tour to discover the beaches of the D-Day Landings. Learn all about Operation Overlord, also known as the Battle of Normandy, with a guided tour of the Omaha and Utah beaches where the American V Corps and VII Corps landings occurred on 6th June 1944.
Enjoy some free time in Bayeux and see the Tapestry, one of the world’s greatest medieval artwork depicting the story of Harold, William the Conqueror, and the Norman Conquest of England in 1066. In the afternoon, after a short transfer to the station, board the train back to Paris where your private driver will take you to the hotel in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, on the right bank of Paris’s River Seine.
After discovering battlefields, it’s time for some art history! Enjoy a morning private guided tour of the Louvre Museum where your guide will not only show you the art but bring it to life for you. In the evening, end your trip with a wonderful River Seine dinner cruise and spend your last night admiring the illuminated landmarks of Paris from a unique point of view: gliding down the river.
On your final day take a stroll along the Seine or visit the trendy neighbourhood of Le Marais before meeting with your private driver for your transfer to the station to take your Eurostar back to the UK.
