Trip details
Day 2
Your Piedmont wine tasting experience continues with a visit to a wine cellar followed by two tastings in the morning. Enjoy an aperitif on a panoramic terrace, this is followed by a local lunch in an authentic Italian restaurant, in the afternoon, experience a fantastic tasting at a vineyard followed by your final visit and tasting.
Day 3
The Piedmont town of Alba is just 10 minutes away by car and Asti is also nearby, visit the local markets, boutique shops. Or simply enjoy a morning swim in the pool before self driving onto Tuscany (option for private transfers please ask for details). Stay in the heart of Chianti Classico producing region. Enjoy elegant accommodation in a classic Tuscan farmhouse surrounded by the Chianti countryside.
Day 4
Your day starts with a private guided wine experience with an English speaking driver / guide, including visits and tastings at a selection of boutique wineries around the Chianti Classico producing region and a traditional Tuscan lunch with accompanying wine and olive oil tastings.
Day 5
A Tuscan cooking class with the head-chef who will give you a practical take-home recipe book. You will prepare a 4 course menu; taste Pecorino cheeses of varying maturity, balsamic vinegars and Amedei chocolate. In the afternoon visit old historical wine cellars of the abbey that today hosts approximately 2000 wooden barrels within which the wine is aged. That evening with the menu you have prepared, combined with Antinori wines enjoy a sumptuous dining experience.
Day 6
After breakfast the countryside is yours to explore, or perhaps visit the city of Florence before driving back to the airport.
