Trip details

Day 1

Relax with Luxury VIP Coach Travel from the UK to the Loire Valley. With 16 tabled seats and 8 forward facing seats you can have the best of both worlds with this luxury coach with luxury aircraft-style seats with seat belts and arm rests, facing illuminated table. Stay 3 nights in a luxury 4 star Abbey, a magnificent historic abbey in the Loire Valley. Located in the priory of a historic monument within the heart of the Loire Valley between Touraine and Anjou. Relax with a welcoming wine reception on arrival and meet with your travel representative, followed by a welcome dinner, a 3 course menu with accompanying wine at a local restaurant.

Day 2

After breakfast in the hotel, enjoy a full day private chauffeured Loire Valley wine experience with an English speaking wine guide. Enjoy a superb tour and wine tasting in Amboise where three generations of specialists selected and made wines from The Loire Valley. Relax with free time for lunch in Amboise (lunch not included). Your journey through the Loire continues with an audio guided visit of the Royal Castle of Amboise, a Renaissance Chateau built in the 15th and 16th centuries. Later that day travelling to Vouvray along the bank of the Loire River. Travelling along the river in the heart of Touraine, a stunning winery welcomes you to its majestic troglodytic cellars for a tour and tasting. A wonderful haute cuisine menu with accompanying wines– 4 course gastronomic menu with accompanying wines.

Day 3

Enjoy a further full day private chauffeured Loire Valley wine experience with an English speaking wine guide. You will then travel to famous medieval town of Chinon, a town steeped in history and rich with culture, here you will enjoy a tour of a local winery and a tasting. Free time for lunch and a chance to explore Chinon (lunch not included).  In the afternoon enjoy a private guided tour of the Abbey of Fontevraud, considered as one of the greatest monastic cities in Europe. In the evening visit Bouvet Ladubay, producer of fine Brut de Loire wines and discover 8 kilometers of cellars dug into the local ‘Tuffeau” stone. Enjoy a private tour of the cellars followed by a farewell candlelit dinner with accompanying wines. Evening transfers back to the accommodation.

Day 4

A morning visit to Château of Villandry, a Renaissance château that is located at the heart of three levels of terraced gardens. It is the last of the great Renaissance châteaux to have been built on the banks of the Loire harmony. Depart the Loire with coach travel back to the UK.
