Evoking the feel of a large family home, rooms are clean and elegant, and furnished in traditional Portuguese style. Dark wooden antique furniture sits on beautiful wooden or tiled floors, while the walls and fabrics feature subtle wine-blushed hues. All rooms have magnificent views over the estate’s terraced vineyards; pick of the bunch are the terrace rooms, which feature direct access to the communal terrace and gardens.
In the morning, guests are invited to savour a traditional breakfast at a large farmhouse table. Open for lunch and dinner, Terraçu’s Restaurant serves a fine dining menu that celebrates the best seasonal offerings of the Douro region, complemented by fine wines from Quinta Nova’s highly respected estate. Tapas-style dishes are available in the wine bar.
Take a refreshing dip in the outdoor pool, enjoy a guided walk around the estate, be a winemaker for a day, and participate in the wine harvest. There’s also a wine museum on site, along with a wine boutique.
