Trip details

Day 1

After arriving by plane into Genoa Airport, pick up your car and self-drive to Monterosso al Mare in Cinque Terre. The Cinque Terre is strung along 18km of serrated cliffs between Levanto and La Spezia, and one of Italy’s treasures. Check in to your hotel a short walk from the centre of Monterosso al Mare, set on a panoramic cliff-top location with stunning sea views this is the perfect base for your Cinque Terre experience. In the evening, enjoy a three course dinner with wines in a superb restaurant with a view of the sea.

Day 2

Discover the Cinque Terre from the sea with a boat tour along this spectacular coast, with views of all of the famous five villages. In the morning, learn about the history of the area while enjoying an Italian aperitivo of salami, cheese, focaccia and prosecco. During the day, a smaller boat will take you into a small cove where you can swim in the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean (weather permitting). A gourmet seafood extravaganza will be served for lunch at a fantastic family-run restaurant. Before returning to Monterosso enjoy another dip in the pristine waters.

Day 3

We suggest exploring the Cinque Terre by foot, walking the old goat path trails that link the five villages of the Cinque Terre. Walk along steep cliffs, marvel at the terraced vineyards before returning to Genoa airport for your flight home.
