Trip details

Day 1

On the Tuesday 27th June fly into Bilbao, and self drive from the airport to the capital of ‘La Rioja’ and stay in central hotel. Stay in Logrono, settle into your hotel and explore the tapas scene of Calle Laurel.

Day 2

Your Rioja wine tasting tour continues with a full day wine tasting experience around Rioja with your English speaking guide who will chauffeur you for the day. During the day you will visit three wineries and also have a typical Riojan tapas lunch.

Day 3

Take part in the traditional Rioja wine fight. Thousands join in this annual fight, drenching each other in Rioja in a free-for-all that takes place on a hill just outside the town of Haro.

Day 4

Before returning home we suggest you to relax and explore the city. Visit the Old Town of Logrono, where you will find yourself walking along streets that form part of the Way of St James, it really is an amazing place to explore on foot. On your journey to the airport we always recommend a stop to visit the Guggenheim Museum and take your flight back to London.
