Trip details

Day 1

Arrive in Edinburgh and relax with private transfers from the airport. Stay in a five-star luxury hotel, a landmark Victorian building, the most prestigious address in the city! Check in to your hotel for an evening of leisure.

Day 2

That morning, begin your day with a private, before-hours visit to the Royal Yacht Britannia, a proud vessel that served as a floating home to the Royal Family for over 40 years.

Unravel the history of Edinburgh with your private guide. Explore the beautiful capital, winding your way through the cobbled streets of the old town and delving into its history at Edinburgh Castle.

Day 3

In the morning visit a small whisky distillery dating back to 1775, Scotland’s oldest surviving distillery. Enjoy four premium whisky from their exceptional range of single malts before a local lunch! Private transfer to your hotel in the Scottish Lowlands, nestled in the heart of picturesque Highland Perthshire, drawing inspiration from its historic past and breathtaking surroundings, located on the banks of Loch Faskally and only a short walk from the heart of the historic town of Pitlochry.

Day 4

Meet with your guide after breakfast, relax with a half-day private tour of the historic town of Dunkeld. The majestic cathedral dominates this picturesque Perthshire village. Enjoy the spectacular setting from Queens’s View, named after Queen Victoria herself who visited in 1866, overlooking the glorious Loch Tummel and boasting unforgettable views.

In the afternoon, you’ll have a a chance for a walk around Loch Faskally, before heading back to unwind in the spa which uses only the finest brands. The treatments and therapies will leave you feeling relaxed and refreshed before dinner.

 

Day 5

Relax with private transfers: enjoy the scenic route as you travel through the Cairngorms National Park to your country house hotel in Nairn. Set in 22 acres of grounds, the elegant country house lies amongst parkland, ornamental lakes and walled gardens. The house is widely renowned for its style, quality and fine cuisine, and situated on Scotland’s north-eastern Moray coast.

In the evening enjoy a six-course tasting menu in a charming setting, focused on using quality, seasonal, local ingredients.

 

Day 6

Meet with your guide after breakfast and head north into the Highlands of Scotland. Today you will visit Speyside, a true whisky heaven! Visit a small family distillery that has been distilling since 1898 using the same spring water rising in the nearby Romach Hills.

Unwind with lunch in one of the local charming pubs serving farm-to-fork. With a wonderful selection of beers from local craft breweries along with a large cocktail list, full of delicious whisky cocktails

In the afternoon, visit the Macallan estate. Explore the history and process of the Macallan whisky with an expert guide to take you on a journey into the past of its production.

Day 7

After breakfast, you’ll be privately chauffeured to Skye. After enjoying views of the magnificent mountain landscapes and lochs of the Northwest Highlands, you will arrive in the sleepy fishing village of Kyleakin, with free time for lunch. Optional Experience: Visit Culloden Battlefield along the way, the site of the last battle on British soil, the final stand of the Jacobite rising of 1745.

Tonight you will stay in a 16th-century former hunting lodge that sits on the shores of Loch Na Dal. A magical setting, nestled at the foot of Kinloch Hill on the tranquil shoreline of the sea-loch on the wildly romantic Isle of Skye.

Tonight, enjoy a stunning seven-course tasting menu paired with wine. This Michelin-star restaurant draws heavily on the local bounty of the island, so fresh fish and seafood feature prominently, notably in the form of perfect scallops with moreish crab mousse!

 

 

Day 8

Meet with your guide after breakfast. Today you will enjoy the dramatic coastal and mountainous views abound on this stunning peninsula. Marvel at the majestic scenery as you take a private tour across the island. Allow yourself to be enchanted by a relaxed tour through Skye’s most scenic areas such as the Old Man of Storr, Kilt Rock, the Quiraing, and the Fairy Pools, before visiting the evocative Eilean Donan Castle, perched on a small tidal island at the convergence of three sea lochs.

Day 9

Meet with your driver after breakfast and relax with a private transfer to a castle near Inverlochy. Stay in a beautiful 19th-century castle, set amongst the beautiful Scottish West Highlands scenery, an award-winning luxury hotel. The afternoon to unwind and relax, enjoying the castle surrounded by the luscious green of the evergreen trees and the sparkling blue from the nearby loch.

Day 10

Meet with your guide after breakfast and relax with a private transfer into Fort William. Take the Jacobite Steam Train, described as the greatest railway journey in the world, this 84-mile round trip takes you past a list of impressive extremes. Starting near the highest mountain in Britain, Ben Nevis, you’ll visit Britain’s most westerly mainland railway station, Arisaig, pass close by the deepest freshwater loch in Britain, Loch Morar, and the shortest river in Britain, River Morar, before finally arriving next to the deepest seawater loch in Europe, Loch Nevis!

 

Day 11

Meet with your driver after breakfast and relax with a private transfer to Dunblane.  A five-star Victorian manse, situated in beautiful countryside. The estate is set in 34 acres of secluded woodlands and garden grounds, with its own chapel and house loch.

Visit the tranquil surroundings before relaxing with afternoon tea. Select your choice of tea leaves and enjoy the Chef’s savoury finger sandwiches, freshly made scones and selection of sweet delicatessens.

 

Day 12

Travel into Stirling with your private guide and visit the impressive Stirling Castle. The guided tour will take you through the important highlights of the castle such as The Forework, Grand Battery, Chapel Royal, Great Hall and Royal Palace. The spectacular Royal Palace was built by King James V with elaborate statues adorning the exterior. Take a short walk of the Stirling’s Old Town before relaxing with free time for lunch.

End your Scottish gourmet journey with a memorable meal at the Chez Roux restaurant, overseen by the legendary French chef Albert Roux.

Day 13

Wake up and enjoy the secluded setting among the woodlands and gardens of the estate. Later that morning, travel onto Edinburgh or Glasgow, ready for your return journey home.
