Lovingly restored from a 19th century ruin, the Château de Sacy is an intimate, romantic hotel set within the rolling vineyards of Champagne, just 20 minutes’ drive from Reims. This three-storey hilltop mansion oozes style and character, its interior adorned with an impressive collection of antique one-offs that reflect the château’s heritage.
Each of the 12 rooms and suites is individually designed with its own personality and bags of historical charm. Featuring crisp linens, extravagantly draped beds, an exquisite blend of contemporary and antique furniture, and marble bathrooms, all rooms offers mesmerising views – though the floor-to-ceiling windows in Le Roi Soleil suite are extra special.
Located on the first floor of the château with a 360º view over the vines, the restaurant dishes up local, seasonal cuisine, with an à la carte option, a fixed price menu and a tasting menu available. Light meals are served throughout the day in the bar, along with an impressive selection of champagnes, wines and spirits.
With a sauna, two outdoor hot tubs, and a couple of treatment rooms, the wellbeing area is the perfect place to unwind amongst the vines. If you’re feeling active, the hotel offers regular and electric bikes for hire to explore the surrounds.
