Luxury VIP Bordeaux Wine Tour

Day 1

Fly from London or take the fast TGV from Paris to Bordeaux, on arrival relax with private transfers from Bordeaux airport. Unwind in a stunning five-star spa hotel in the heart of Bordeaux opposite the Grand Theatre and just a stones throw from all the the bars and restaurants. Spend the afternoon relaxing on the rooftop terrace or perhaps in the state of the art spa. The evening is yours to enjoy and explore Bordeaux, we will provide you with our favourite spots and we can happily look after the reservations for you.

Day 2

Meet your English-speaking guide at the hotel for an exclusive private wine experience in the Medoc vineyards on the left bank. Start the day at Château Lafite Rothschild, an iconic first-growth property in the Pauillac appellation. Your journey continues with a sensational visit at Château Cos d’Estournel in St Estèphe, one of Bordeaux’s top estates tasting 4 legendary vintages: 1982, 2005, 2009 and 2016. Follow your visit with a lunch at the prestigious château. The afternoon then unfolds with another vertical tasting at a famed Grand Cru Château in the Margaux appellation.

Day 3

The second day in the vineyards is devoted to Saint-Emilion and Pomerol. Meeting with your English speaking guide after breakfast. You will be chauffeured to the right bank, known for it’s silky and fruity merlot blends. In the morning, visit a prestigious chateau located on the terroir of the Pomerol plateau. Enjoy lunch with wine pairing in a two star Michelin restaurant in the heart of the UNESCO medieval wine village of Saint-Emilion. In the afternoon, visit  another famed Premier Grand Cru Classé Chateau. Later in the afternoon, return to Bordeaux city with your guide.

Day 4

On your final day in the vineyards you will return to the left bank visiting the Graves region, known for it’s white wines and particularly famous for it’s dessert wines in the small appellation of Sauternes. Ranked a First Growth estate, your guide will take you to the famous Chateau d’Yquem which sells some of the most expensive white wines in the world. Enjoy lunch overlooking the Sauternes vineyards with wines chosen by the Sommelier. Your final tour and tasting will be at the First Growth in Graves. Later in the afternoon, return to Bordeaux city with your guide for your final evening.

Day 5

The last day is yours to explore beautiful Bordeaux. Boasting over 350 historical monuments, it’s easy to see why this UNESCO World Heritage sight is so beloved, and so memorable. Visit the world of wine in Bordeaux’s La Cité du Vin. Embark on an adventure to discover the cultures and civilisations of wine, where wine comes to life through an immersive, sensorial approach, all set within an evocative architectural design. The tour also includes access to La Cité du Vin’s Belvedere, where you will discover a 360° view of Bordeaux whilst tasting a glass of world wine. Relax with private transfers to the airport for your flight home.
