Glenmorangie House

Set on the rugged Moray Firth coast, Glenmorangie House is a boutique Highlands hotel with a very unique charm. Owned by the Glenmorangie Distillery a few miles down the road, this 17^th century country house hotel has been given an eye-catching makeover by interior designer Russell Sage, incorporating aspects of whisky-making throughout its décor. The result is an extravagant and playful sensory experience, accompanied by delicious food and excellent whisky, naturally!

The six bedrooms in the main house take guests on a flavour-inspired journey with their flamboyant, technicolour aesthetic. Each is inspired by a different blend of Glenmorangie whisky through its eccentric design, with clever, witty details such as a painted tiger hidden in a wardrobe to reflect the tropical Reserve blend. There are also three standalone cottages in the grounds named, Cask, Malting and Marriage, all adorned in the same rich style.

The restaurant has a large communal dining table, creating a lively dinner-party-style atmosphere. The food is exquisite, with innovative menus using the finest local and seasonal produce with whisky-inspired creations. After-dinner drinks are poured in the cosy Buffalo Room.

Guests can participate in several activities at the house depending on the season, ranging from cocktail mixing to Highland games, stargazing, and clay pigeon shooting. Private tours of the Glenmorangie Distillery can be arranged.
