Meet with your guide after breakfast and head north into the Highlands of Scotland. Today you will visit Speyside, a true whisky heaven! By far the largest (by number of distilleries) and arguably the most famous of Scotland’s whisky regions, this breathtaking area sits in a fertile valley of rivers and secluded glens, home to over half of Scotland’s distilleries. Visit a small family distillery that has been distilling since 1898 using the very same spring water rising in the nearby Romach Hills.
Unwind with lunch in one of the local charming pubs serving farm-to-fork. With a wonderful selection of beers from local craft breweries along with a large cocktail list, full of delicious whisky cocktails.
In the afternoon visit the esteemed Macallan estate. Explore the history and process of the Macallan whisky with an expert guide to take you on a journey into the past and present of whisky production.
You’ll have the morning to relax with fabulous Highland views. Visit an exclusive distillery by the tranquil shores of the Dornoch Firth, amidst the golden barley fields that border the royal burgh of Tain. Accompanied by our expert guide, you will journey through all stages of the award-winning whisky creation, from mashing and fermenting to distilling and maturation, and, of course, tasting!
