This 19th century Scottish castle on the outskirts of Fort William is cosy, warm and inviting, with a sense of grandeur. Featuring opulent rooms, a gourmet restaurant and an array of outdoor pursuits, it offers the perfect Highlands retreat.
With spectacular views over the grounds and private loch, the 17 guestrooms and suites are havens of comfort and tranquillity. No two rooms are the same, though each features period furniture, canopied or four-poster beds with plush bedding, heavy drapes and soft floral prints, alongside televisions disguised as mirrors. There’s also a Gate Lodge for families, and 8 new rooms due to open in the walled garden in spring 2023.
Dining at ‘Seasgair’ by Michel Roux Jr is a culinary experience. With menus overseen by the two-Michelin-starred chef focusing on the finest Scottish produce, the event begins with champagne or cocktails accompanied by canapés in the Great Hall, before moving on to a five-course meal in the dining room.
Wander round the gorgeous grounds and gardens, play a game of tennis or outdoor chess, and relax in the drawing room, library or billiard room.
