Trip details

Day 1

After settling into your hotel in the heart of historic Reims, set off to visit the world-famous Champagne Taittinger and enjoy three tutored tastings. This Champagne house is one of the last great Champagne houses to have retained its independence. After exploring Reims in the evening, relax with a glass of bubbles in the comfort of your accommodation’s trendy Champagne bar (not included).

Day 2

The following day, your friendly wine guide will take you on a full-day small group e-biking champagne tour. The e-bike experience will allow you to explore some of Champagne’s most remote locations, as you cycle through Premier and Grand Cru villages, and fully experience the complexity of the terroir. Enjoy breathtaking views from the UNESCO World Heritage vines of Champagne, cycle down the Marne canal, and enjoy a traditional champenoise lunch with homemade regional specialties paired with a variety of Champagnes.

You will also visit a family-run estate where you’ll meet the maker and be invited to explore their cellars, taste their wines, and share their passion. This experience includes a visit to the village of Hautvillers and a chance to see the tomb of Dom Perignon – the monk to whom we owe our thanks for these splendid bubbles.

Day 3

The final day in the capital of Champagne is yours to explore. Why not visit the gothic splendour of Notre Dame Cathedral, or the Saint-Remi Basilica, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and acclaimed gothic masterpiece, celebrated for its sculptural decoration and architecture. Wander among the winding streets of Reims or simply relax in your hotel pool before returning home. Perhaps a stop along the way for lunch in Paris is in order too! Or extend this with a trip to Burgundy ?
